iPad News - iPad Scales the Great Wall of China

iPad Scales the Great Wall of ChinaFrom goodereader.com, Sep 15, 2010

The Chinese can at last heave a sigh of relief. The iPad that has been the rage the world over will finally be launched officially in that country. What this means, its now more than five months that the iPad took to reach Chinese shores though the best thing perhaps is that it finally has. Obviously its the huge demand of the Apple device in the regions where it has already been launched that had prompted a delayed release in what can well turn out to be single largest market for the Apple's magical tablet. China has been regularly coming up with a host of tablet devices ever since the iPad was released which comprised of everything from iPad clones to iPad beaters.

Anyway, the real thing will be there for the taking from 10 in the morning this Friday, the 17th of September. Price has been fixed at CNY3988 for the 16 GB model, CNY4788 for the 32 GB version with the top end 64 GB model will be available for CNY5588. All of that translates to about $590, $708, and $826 for the three versions respectively.

So that's one more territory that the iPad has enhanced its presence in and its a big one with over a billion people though there still are a lot more geographical location still left. Hope Apple continues with its expansion spree with more gusto.
