ABC7 Chicago Releases Free iPad App

November 15, 2010 (CHICAGO) (WLS) - A gift for all you iPad users from ABC7 Chicago! A new app - designed just for our iPad - let's you get the latest news.
And, it's all free.
From the main screen, iPad users launching the new ABC7 app have tiles to choose from - sections include top news, I-Team, politics, healthbeat, recipes and more. Just tapping enter will take users to the stories ABC 7 is covering with text and video on the screen. Pinching the screen will make the video full screen or reduce its size.
Also on the app: weather. ABC7's forecasts, as well as up-to-the-minute animated radar for Chicago and three other locations of your choice.
When there's breaking news and severe weather, the ABC7 iPad app will have alerts, and live video streaming.
Photos are available in fullscreen- and can be sent to friends through facebook social networking sites.
ABC7 also has apps for iPhone, BlackBerry and android devices. More information here.
